Bill Noel adds 12th book to his Folly Beach Series

Special To The Current

Folly Beach is once again prominently featured in a new novel by award-winning, bestselling author Bill Noel. Dead Center is the 12th installment in his Folly Beach series. Noel weaves the charm and character of our island and nearby Charleston throughout the pages of his new book.

Those who have read one or more of the first 11 books will be familiar with Chris Landrum and his merry band of misfits who stumble, bumble, and somehow manage to catch killers who appear almost as often on Folly Beach as sunburned tourists. Charles, Dude, Cal, Mad Mel, and Bob return to help Chris solve the mystery.

“To me, Folly Beach is both magical and mysterious,” says Noel. “I’m humbled by the number of readers who have said the book captures the charm, character, and characters of the island.”

The novels are light, humorous, and feature a group of characters, who are nearly as quirky as Folly itself — a great beach read.

Other books in the series include Folly, the debut novel released in 2007, The Pier, Washout, The Edge, The Marsh, Ghosts, Missing, Final Cut, First Light, Boneyard Beach, and Silent Night.

Noel lives in Louisville, Ken. with his wife Susan, but through his many visits and friends he has accumulated, he feels at home on Folly Beach, where he comes to visit often and sign copies of his books.

Dead Center and the other The Folly Beach series of books are available on Folly Beach at Bert’s Market, Mr. John’s Beach Store, and Roasted, located in the Tides Hotel. They are also available through local booksellers or on the Internet at www.billnoel.com, amazon.com, and barnesandnoble.com.
