Popular beach music & dancing series returns to the Folly Pier

The Charleston County Parks & Recreation Department is ringing in the arrival of summer with five Moonlight Mixers, held monthly from May to September. The popular beach music and dance series welcomes attendees to shag the night away under the stars on the Edwin S. Taylor Folly Beach Fishing Pier.
The first event will be held Friday, May 2, from 7-10 p.m. with DJ Bill Shelton, spinning all the classics. The next one will be Friday, June 6, with Shelton again handling the music. There will be live music from the Dave Landeo Band on Friday, July 25, Aug. 22, and Shelton will return to close out the series on Friday, Sept. 19. Rain dates for each event are the next night (Saturday).
Beverages will be available for purchase on-site. No outside food or drink is allowed, and pets are not permitted at the event. Food and snacks will be available for purchase at the Pier 101 Restaurant and the Gangplank Gift & Tackle Shop, both located at the entrance to the pier. Food, beverages, and parking fees are not included with ticket purchase. Chairs are welcome as seating is limited.
