Folly Beach Tourism Rolls Out New Branding with new website, tourism guide, and logo

Special to The Current

The Folly Beach Tourism and Visitor Promotion Committee (TVPC) revealed a new branding package in November 2015 including a new logo and a revamped website. The official online tourism guide for Folly Beach, VisitFolly.com, is designed to represent the fun and funky personality of Folly Beach while guiding visitors to all of the amenities and activities available on the six mile barrier island.

The new logo developed by the Folly Beach TVPC represents some of Folly’s most popular activities including surfing, biking and fishing. While playing on the active nature of the beach, it also highlights Folly Beach’s cultural and leisure aspects and utilizes a lively color palette to represent the whimsical vibe. The tagline, “Charleston’s Beach Town”, not only calls attention to Folly Beach’s close proximity to Downtown Charleston, but it also expresses the unpretentious and laid-back nature of one of America’s last true beach towns.

The updated website, VisitFolly.com, provides visitors with an abundance of information on places to stay, eat, shop and explore. VisitFolly.com features stunning photographs of the island and bright colors throughout, showing the natural beauty and liveliness of Folly Beach.

“We are so excited to show Folly’s vibrant personality through the new website,” says Carl Hally, Chairman of the Folly Beach TVPC. “It’s a resource for both locals and tourists to discover all of the things that our little paradise has to offer.”

In addition to the updated website, the TVPC has revamped the Visit Folly app. The app not only pulls information from the website into the viewer’s handheld device or tablet, it also offers a variety of handy tools. The “Parking Assistant” feature directs users back to their parking spot after a day on the beach. The popular “Submit Your Photo” feature currently houses hundreds of breathtaking shots taken with users’ mobile devices. The app is available by searching Visit Folly in either the Apple or Android app stores.
