A New Era Begins

Coconut Joe’s officially opens on Folly Beach

A longtime favorite on Isle of Palms, Coconut Joe’s Beach Grill has officially opened its second location on Folly Beach. Completely revamping the space formerly occupied by St. Jame’s Gate, the dark wood and forest green of the popular Irish pub has been replaced with a brighter, breezier vibe. There’s also a new back patio where patrons can sit out and enjoy the sunshine while sipping on what Coconut Joe’s boldly proclaimed to be “Folly’s Best Piña Colada” even before it opened its doors late last month. The indoor upstairs space has become an arcade/game room. The menu is an enticing mix of seafood and creative bar bites, with an array of beachy cocktails.

Coconut Joe’s is located at 11 Center St. For more info, visit www.coconutjoesbeachgrill.com.

Check social for dates and the flavor of the week. Past menus have included Mediterranean, Italian, and one inspired by that late night, quick stop, road trip, gas station meal.
